DR. GARY LAZARUS
is the owner of Rippowam Animal Hospital. He graduated Veterinary School from the University of Pretoria-Onderstepoort, South Africa in 1989. After working as an emergency clinician in a busy urban clinic he immigrated to the United States in 1990.
He started working at Rippowam Animal Hospital soon after arriving in America and he purchased the practice in 1993. He has made major upgrades to the hospital over the years making it today’s state-of-the-art facility offering top notch medical and surgical care for your pets.
He practices both medicine and surgery, lately expanding his skills by becoming proficient in ultrasound techniques and both rigid and flexible endoscope. He lives in Stamford with his wife, 2 daughters, 4 Scottish Terriers, a Bengal Cat and numerous tropical fish.
DR. KATHLEEN MEENAN
graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor degree in Animal Science. She then received her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University.
She began working at Rippowam Animal Hospital in 2000. In 2002 she completed her first course in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation and wanting to expand treatment options for her clients she pursued Veterinary Chiropractic.
In 2005 she began an extensive course in Animal Chiropractic and is board certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. She also has been practicing emergency medicine since 2005. She presently lives in Norwalk with her husband, father, 3 sons, 4 dogs, 5 cats and 9 horses.
